Classical architecture and state-of-the-art technology are joined in RPI’s Lally School of Management and Technology, a space that accommodates the latest interactive multimedia and video-conferencing facilities and also allows students to participate in a satellite link to sister programs in China and other parts of the world.

The classical red brick Pittsburgh Building was renovated for modern use. A five-story addition rises on the rear of the building, providing spaces for students and faculty, as well as the school’s sophisticated data and communications systems. A new exit stair and elevator are also included. The addition - a subtle interplay of contemporary massing and traditional details - culminates in a multi-story glass curtainwall, reflecting the mixture of traditional and cutting-edge elements indicative of the school’s unconventional, entrepreneurial approach to management education.
